LATEST ....LATEST... LATEST...One of our member artists Helen Bailes, is making special work to be fired in the centre of the Castle Bonfire, now to be seen in full glory on The Old Bowling Green on Torrington Commons. She has done this for previous Torrington Bonfires built by The Cavaliers - more details in the news section.This successful arts co-operative has been trading for over three years. The gallery, which is located in Great Torrington’s historic Pannier Market, displays arts and crafts from a range of different media including paintings, ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery and cards amongst others.
The co-operative has evolved and now consists of ten artists. The original founder Helen Bailes, potter, Sue Martin glass artist, Jane Lawrence pet portraits, Jane Templeman handmade bags, Maureen Stanley stained glass, Alison Mobsby ceramicist, Ian Hudson watercolour artist, Kathy Eldsen jewellery, Sue Mair mosaic glass work and Rosie Burns mixed media. Each artist has their own page, for more information on their skills and examples of their work just follow the artist link in the bar above.
Further work is sold on commission by local artists such as Jo Pryor gouache painter, Jasmine Randall oil painter, Jan Lye ceramics, Sandra Adams woodturner, North Devon Jewellers, Karen Adams jeweller, Joy Moss handmade silks, Alison Nicholson textiles, Shan Miller painter and many more.
