Helen studied ceramics at the University
of Wales and gained an Hons degree in 1994. She has a workshop/studio
at home in the North Devon countryside and does some teaching at The Plough
Arts Centre. Her work is inspired by the forms, patterns and dynamics
found in the natural world, such as fern fronds, shells, the movement of water
and the ever-changing sky. Through the sensual handling of clay the
natural process of growth, containment and disintegration are evoked.
