14 The Gallery is a successful arts co-operative which has
ben trading for nearly two years. The gallery, which is located in Great
Torrington’s historic Pannier Market, displays arts and crafts drawing
from a range of different media including paintings, ceramics, glass, textiles,
jewellery and cards amongst others. Other local artists can also exhibit
their work and currently wooden and metal items, jewellery, lamps and others
are on display.
The co-operative has evolved and now consists of fourteen artists. The original
founders Helen Bailes, potter, Joanne Pryor, figurative artist, Michelle
Witney, jewellery, Jan Lye, a sculptural and functional ceramicist and Sue
Martin who works in the medium of glass have been joined by Sue Tiner, Jane
Lawrence, Jane Templeman, Maureen Stanley, Julie Bramley, Sandra Adams,
Alison Nicholson and Beatriz Castro.

The Gallery is open from Monday till Saturday from 10am until 4pm, Wednesdays
till 1pm.
