Helen’s work is inspired by the forms patterns and dynamics found in the natural world. Through the sensual handling of clay the process of growth,
containment and disintegration is evoked. Each piece is individual, found objects including shells and leaves are used to create textures. Porcelain is
used to produce delicate bowls, vases, candle-holders, lamps and teapots ‘with attitude!’ Larger forms are made from stoneware clay, including planters and fountains with textures reminiscent of cliffs & rockpools.
Helen is a member of two North Devon co-operative galleries, has work in other galleries in Devon, and in various exhibitions. She is taking part in the following future events:
Rosemoor Spring Fair 1st,2nd,3rd May 2010. Duchy Square Exhibition 2nd April-7th May 2010. Art Trek 18th - 21st April 2010.
