Jinny has put together for 14 The Gallery a collection of stylish, loose, flowing clothing for women, under the name Sassi Designs. Jinny has always loved sewing but it was not until 2009 that she was able to start designing and making her first collection of stylish smocks from her home in Great Torrington.
The smocks, usually of natural cotton/linen and denim fabrics, are individually hand-made often with design details around the collars and cuffs so combining style and practicality.
In the autumn and winter Jinny makes capes, ponchos and wraps in a variety of colours of fleece and wool and wool/mix fabrics using the natural guidelines of the material to create the movement and silhouette that are typical of Sassi Designs. “The great thing about these timeless designs is that they flatter any figure and can be worn on almost any occasion” says Jinny. The cut is always simple and elegant.
Whilst Jinny will make every effort to accommodate individual requirements, these will be subject to availability of fabric and colour choices.
