ELIZABETH SPIERS, PAUL HOPKINSON, BRIAN LANGLEY, HETTIE SARGENT, DUANE CARTRIGHT, SARAH GALLIFENT
Elizabeth’s work includes figurative ceramic sculptures, often blending human and animal features in both iconic and everyday situations and poses. Humour often plays a part in her work. Each piece is individually sculpted by hand and completely unique. Her glazes have been developed to give a very simple, ancient 'just excavated' look which often contrasts with and emphasises the humour, and fits wonderfully with any style of decor. Recycled items are often used as part of her work.

PAUL HOPKINSON Devon Artist
"I started drawing when I was knee high to a grasshopper but didn't pick up my first brush until the age of twelve. This was when I first started to paint in oils with my Uncle, Peter Hopkinson who is a fantastic Artist. We ventured into the Derbyshire countryside with canvases and easels. Apart from painting with my Uncle I have had no form of training, everything you see is through years of practice and the love I put into all my paintings. For many years I have painted commissions for customers where the paintings varied from portraits to landscapes and animals, completed in watercolour, oils, acrylics and graphite.
I now paint as a full time artist and even though it can be difficult sometimes I love every minute of it, even though the time always seem to go so quickly when I paint."
BRIAN LANGLEY -WOODTURNER
Brian is a self-taught wood turner, living & working in Barnstaple. Using mainly Devon hardwoods he produces beautiful crafted objects, both creative & useful for the family home. Each is an individual piece showing the beautiful wood to its best advantage
SARAH GALLIFENT - PHOTOGRAPHER
Photographer and former woven textile designer, Sarah Gallifent, captures abstract images with coastal and plant inspired themes. By staying faithful to her textile tradition of colour, texture, pattern, light and movement, Sarah uses the camera lens to isolate an object, extract it from its context and remove any indication of scale, resulting in a novel, abstract image that may tease and intrigue, stimulate and challenge the viewer's imagination. Sarah's abstract photographs are available as greeting cards and mounted prints.
